Does the thought of a retirement community conjure images of long days and rocking chairs? Well, you’ll never be bored at The Watermark, because we make sure everyone has the opportunity to learn (or teach) something new every day! We know that challenging our brains and getting in better physical shape has enormous benefits at every age, and can even slow the process of memory loss. That’s why we created Watermark University.
Watermark University offers something for everyone, and then some. Our course catalog is filled with an array of innovative brain and body fitness courses ranging from Culinary World Exploration to Yoga, Pilates, and The Art of Scrimshaw. Test your skills in The Wide World of Wii Sports. Learn to knit on a loom or sharpen your computer and email skills. Take part in our intergenerational program with the Classical Studies Academy. These are just a few examples of how Watermark University makes brain and body fitness fun!
Intrigued? Enroll in a class or two – it’s a great way to get a taste of The Watermark lifestyle. Plus you’ll meet fantastic residents and associates who are taking and teaching the courses! Do you have a passion you’d like to share? Let us know! We’d love to talk with you about teaching a class at Watermark University!
