Chris Bouchard

Chris has more than 12 years of senior living experience in his two-decade career as an attorney. Before joining Watermark, he was associate general counsel for Discovery Senior Living, providing legal advice to a portfolio of 100 communities. Prior to that, he was chief legal officer at Holiday Retirement, where he oversaw all acquisition, disposition and financing transactions; corporate governance; regulatory compliance; litigation management; contracts and employment law matters; and insurance and workers compensation programs. He joined Atria Senior Living after it acquired Holiday in 2021. Before joining Holiday, he was an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he advised on finance, mergers and acquisitions, and governance and public reporting matters in the firm's Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions practice. Chris holds a BA from University of North Carolina and a JD from Columbia University School of Law.
