Jeff Slichta

I'm excited to be part of the Watermark leadership team. The legacy of both David Freshwater and David Barnes starting this outstanding organization with a strong history and solid reputation is impressive, and I’m excited to help guide the company as it enters its fourth decade in the senior living industry.
I have built a successful career in seniors housing operations. Most recently, I served as Chief Operating Officer for Experience Senior Living, where I was responsible for setting up a foundational operating platform for this new startup organization and preparing the company for its strong growth trajectory. Prior to that, I was Senior Vice President of Operations for Sunrise Senior Living, with operational oversight for five regions and 145 communities throughout 17 states and the Province of British Columbia. I also served as a Principal Consultant for Slichta Enterprises and as Chief Operating Officer for both Era Living, LLC and Oakdale Heights Management Corporation.
I earned a B.A. in Economics from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, and a Master of Public Administration in Health Services from Brigham Young University. I am the father of four children and live in Salt Lake City with my partner and our dog, Braxton. My passion for people and creating outstanding companies with a strong focus on mission and margin is central to my work.
