Creating Life-Changing Opportunities

Reducing barriers and helping underserved kids thrive.

At Watermark for Kids, we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive. Our nonprofit organization, founded by David Barnes, president of Watermark, is dedicated to reducing barriers and empowering underserved kids, ages 6–22, to build character, develop leadership skills, and express their creativity.

By harnessing the expertise and compassion of Watermark’s residents and associates, we provide financial support that helps young people turn their bold visions into reality. Since 2007, Watermark for Kids has awarded over $1.2 million to thousands of kids, funding essential needs such as books, computers, sports and academic travel, racing wheelchairs, aquatic chair lifts, dental care, musical instruments and lessons, dance classes, running shoes, and more.

Our work is made possible through the generosity of Watermark associates, residents, families, and dedicated sponsors. Funds are raised through payroll deductions and community-driven fundraising events, including our two largest annual fundraisers—the Thrive! Classic Golf Tournament and Silent Auction.

Together, we’re building a future where every kid has the opportunity to explore their passions and make a meaningful impact on the world.
