Seeker of truth.
Karen B., age 62
I am at an age where I can look back on my life with a wonderful sense of accomplishment. I can look forward to a time of grandchildren, retirement, travel, and to, finally, do exactly what I have been pining to do—which is to be focused on creating visual art—without the challenges of motherhood and career competing for my attention. This is a time period of growth and quiet contemplation. I know how to do a lot of things well – yet – I am eager to learn and do more.
I am 62. I look back on my life and wonder where all the time went. Inside, I still feel like an 18-year-old—still curious, waking up happy. Perhaps I am just a more seasoned version of my 18-year-old self.
I think that if I can maintain my health (which to be honest—takes time and attention), I feel good about my age. Ask me again in 10 years.
