The Fountains at La Cholla was recently featured in a segment on KGUN 9 for how it's supporting a young fencer in achieving her dreams.
Cora Weeks, a 12-year-old paraplegic, stopped by the community to show off her talents to residents. Watermark for Kids, a nonprofit that works with the community to help kids overcome barriers, is funding her lessons as she trains to qualify for the 2028 Paralympic Games.
“I found a good community and a better coach and better friends,” she said about her journey. “I now start believing in myself more.”
