The Hacienda Mission San Luis Rey was recently featured in an article published by The Coast News Group for its singing group — and how it’s spreading the joy of music throughout the community.
The Hacienda Singers was founded by members Sue and Joe Mullane to enhance the community’s weekly masses. After growing to nearly 30 participants, the group has expanded to perform for special occasions and holidays. All members of The Hacienda, regardless of their musical backgrounds, are welcome to join.
“Music is one of the things that stays with folks as they get older,” said Sue. “The music is still there in the soul and has such an emotional element and memories to it.”
