A Brief History of Roseville
Rooted in a rich history dating back to the Maidu Native Americans, Roseville, California, transformed from a small farming trade center into a crucial junction for the Central Pacific Railroad in the mid-1800s. Its growth accelerated in the early 1900s with the construction of over a hundred structures and the world’s largest ice manufacturing plant. Despite facing the Great Depression and World War II, Roseville thrived, undergoing significant developments in public infrastructure. Today, Roseville has grown into a vibrant city of over 100,000 residents, demonstrating its enduring legacy as a vital junction in the heart of California.
