A pair of residents from The Fountains at Millbrook was recently featured in an article published on McKnights Senior Living for their research project that produced many groundbreaking discoveries.
Margaret Cornell and Lucy Johnson traced the history of the Millbrook, New York, location back to the early 20th century. The duo, who previously worked as an archivist and anthropology professor, respectively, found that the community’s grounds were once home to a school.
“A lot of our time this fall was spent on this project, and it was such a fun way to use your brain,” Margaret said. “I had never known an archaeologist before. Just to meet Lucy and hear about her life, it was wonderful.”
