At Legacy at Maiden Park, our signature programs allow residents to learn new skills and express themselves. A recent Watermark University class,
Creative Corner: Art for the Young at Heart, had Rochester's Spectrum News 1 in attendance. The local news station talked to residents who shared that the class, which features watercolor painting, can be a form of therapy. Providing a space for residents to thrive is just one of the many ways we’re redefining senior living.
Tina Starr, an art therapy major from Nazareth University, said “Somebody might not be willing to talk, but use a piece of paper, and give them a watercolor palette, and they start painting. The words can just flow right out of them."
Watch and discover how Legacy at Maiden Park is incorporating art therapy for residents interested in tapping into more than just their creativity.
