While many know this associate for her dedication as a Watermark Resource, there's another side of her that has remained a delightful mystery. For the past 10 years, Diana Demers has been donning a fluffy bunny suit and hopping over to her local Watermark community to bring smiles and cheer as none other than the Easter Bunny! It's a role she embraces with enthusiasm and love, and the impact she makes is simply immeasurable.

“The first time I visited East Village Place was as a volunteer. Peeking through that goofy rabbit head, I observed the warmth and compassion from members of the community – associates greeting residents with hugs, loved ones gathered in the café socializing with one another like one big extended family – I knew right then I wanted to work there.”

Two years later, Diana joined the Watermark family as the Community Life Director at East Village Place – a role she describes as the highlight of her career. In 2019, she was recruited to Watermark's Resource Center, working remotely on the digital marketing team as a Social Media Specialist, later being promoted to Social Media Manager in 2021. But one thing has remained consistent – she's visited her cherished community every year as the Easter Bunny.

“Shifting my role was challenging at first, because I found such fulfillment in my daily interactions with residents – they were like family to me,” Diana explained. “I rediscovered that sense of purpose through helping hundreds of Watermark associates nationwide highlight the inspiring, heartfelt stories, meaningful connections, and extraordinary programs on their communities’ social media pages. But the highlight of my year will always be my annual Easter Bunny visits – I think it brings me just as much joy as it does to the community.”

Throughout her journey, she’s helped communities nationwide tell their stories on social media, which inspired Hootsuite to conduct a case study illustrating Watermark’s success. Diana is also the co-creator and co-editor of Inspire, Watermark’s award-winning digital lifestyle magazine.
