Elizabeth, 2018
17-year-old Elizabeth, diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum, had always found joy and therapeutic benefit in horseback riding. Despite financial challenges and a turbulent early childhood, Elizabeth’s passion for equestrian activities never waned. When financial constraints threatened to halt her riding lessons at Inspire Equine Therapy, Watermark for Kids was able to help. Elizabeth was awarded six months of lessons, allowing her to continue therapeutic riding lessons. She went on later that year to compete in the Special Olympics Florida Equestrian Sports Championships, where she won a gold medal!
